The a.P.A.t.T. Orchestra return with the first in a 4-part series - Musical Settings - which uses natural or architectural environments to determine aspects of composition or performance.

An oasis in the middle of a busy city, Sefton Park is an example of designed and landscaped rurality. Cardew's 'The Great Learning' addresses themes of simplification and distance from the chaos of modern life in it's interpretation of Confucian teachings.
A bandstand holds questions about the cultural expectations certain structures can contain. The a.P.A.t.T. Orchestra - a most unusual form of that most revered institution, the orchestra - will present an afternoon of music unlike anything heard on this stage in it's long history.
The a.P.A.t.T. Orchestra is an inclusive large scale ensemble of non-specific instrumentation that performs time and place-specific music and cross art-form collaborations in unusual settings.
